Intrigue reigned in the tandem battles. Disappointment for everyone was the elimination of the silver medalist of the R1, the Irishman Marc O'Rourke, at the initial stage of the Top-32.
We have already talked about the principles of evaluating paired races in the article about the first round.
The Olympic elimination system leaves no room for error. Competitors were eliminated one by one until the top 4 remained. 3 of them are Ukrainians and one is from Australia - Kobe Wels.
In the semi-finals, we again enjoyed the confrontation between two titans of Ukrainian sim drifting - Alexander Element vs. Artem Chulkov. This time, Chulkov took revenge and sent Element to battle for third place.
