The vr25 Verossa debuted in 2001 combining the sporty aspects of the Chaser with the luxury characteristics of the Cresta, in a vehicle that is smaller than the Crown but larger than the Altezza. The Verossa became a sales success, offering high performance and luxury with a six-cylinder engine (1JZ-GTE) and rear-wheel drive with a limited-slip differential.
